You reach Dogo (Oki Islands) by boat from Shichirui Port or Sakaiminato Port. The fastest is the high-speed boat from Shichirui Port (1 h 9 min). The cheapest adult one-way fare is ¥3,870 from Shichirui Port. You can also fly from Osaka International Airport (Itami) or Izumo Airport (Izumo Enmusubi Airport).
The largest of the Oki Islands, about 80 km northeast of the Shimane Peninsula. It is 151 km around with an area of 242.83 km², about 80% of it forest. Okinoshima Town has a population of 12,531 (end of September 2026). The Oki Islands are a UNESCO Global Geopark.

Ferry Oki (Ferry Kuniga during dry-dock) runs Shichirui 9:00 -> Saigo arr 11:25 / dep 12:00 -> Hishiura arr 13:10 / dep 13:30 -> Beppu arr 13:45 / dep 14:00 -> Saigo arr 15:10 / dep 15:40 -> Shichirui arr 18:05. This sailing goes directly to Saigo. No reservation is needed for 2nd class (other classes, cars and motorcycles require a reservation). 2nd-class fare, revised Jun 1, 2026 (including consumption tax). Car fares are revised on Nov 1, 2026.
