How to get to Himakajima
Minamichita Town, Aichi · Octopus · Pufferfish
An island in Minamichita Town; the island's tourism association features octopus and fugu (pufferfish) as its signature foods. High-speed boats use West Port and East Port, while the car ferry uses North Port, so there are three landing points.

Boats run in a loop, e.g. Morozaki → Shinojima → Himakajima → Morozaki. Direct (to East Port) takes about 10 min; via Shinojima (to West Port) about 20 min. The last departure from the island is West Port 19:25. Sailings marked in red, such as the 6:25 departure, do not run on weekends and holidays in Dec–Feb or over the New Year period. The ¥800 fare includes the express surcharge (per FAQ).

Kowa → West Port takes 20 min; sailings that also call at East Port take 25 min. The last departure from the island is West Port 17:45 (arriving Kowa 18:10). The ¥1,600 fare includes the express surcharge (per FAQ). About a 7-minute walk via a walkway from Meitetsu Kowa Station.

Car ferry; reservations get priority. ¥700 is the one-way adult fare for foot passengers (or car passengers). Vehicles under 3 m from ¥3,400 (including the driver). General vehicle traffic on the island is restricted; you cannot bring a car unless you have secured parking. Travel time is not listed on the timetable. Usually suspended for dry-dock maintenance around Jan–Feb.
