You reach Nakadorijima by boat from Nagasaki Port, Sasebo Port or Hakata Port (Hakata Pier Terminal 2). The fastest is the high-speed boat from Nagasaki Port (1 h 10 min). The cheapest adult one-way fare is ¥4,560 from Nagasaki Port.
A long, narrow north-south island that, together with Wakamatsujima, forms the core of Shinkamigoto Town in the northern Goto Islands. Steep mountains run along it and it has many white-sand beaches. Christians settled here in the Edo period, and Catholic churches remain in the area.

Nagasaki departures 8:05 (via Fukue and Naru, arriving Narao 13:25) and 12:25 (direct, arriving Narao 15:00, continuing to Fukue); Narao departures 9:15 (arriving Nagasaki 11:45), 13:35 (arriving Nagasaki 16:05) and 15:15 (via Fukue, arriving Nagasaki 20:00). From Oct 5 to 18, while the Tsubaki is in dock (planned), the Manyo alone runs a dock schedule with fewer sailings (Nagasaki 12:25 only; Narao 9:15 and 15:15). 2nd-class fare plus fuel surcharge (zone 17 for Oct-Nov 2026). All cars and motorcycles must be reserved (0570-017-510, from 9:00 one month before).

Big Earth. Times are the winter schedule (October to February). Nagasaki departures 10:00 and 16:00; Tainoura departures 7:45 and 13:30. On Nov 3 and Nov 5 a special schedule runs (Nagasaki 9:00 and 18:00; Tainoura 7:00 and 16:00). Reservations are required (from 2 months before). The fare is the regular adult one-way fare from Feb 1, 2025. Whether the boat sails is finally decided 1 hour before departure.

Ferry Taiko (Hakata-Fukue route). Hakata 23:45 → Uku, Ojika → Aokata 5:40; the northbound trip from Fukue leaves Aokata at 12:10 and reaches Hakata at 17:50. No sailings from Hakata on Oct 25 and Nov 15, or from Fukue on Oct 26 and Nov 16. The fare is the Standard (2nd class) one-way fare revised from the Hakata 23:45 sailing on Sep 30, 2026; payment is cash only. Cars and special baggage must be reserved; cars leaving Hakata for Uku, Ojika and Aokata are loaded between 22:00 and 22:30. Disembarking at Aokata is by stairs.
