A small island about 4.3 km around, about 15 minutes by boat from Tadanoumi Port in Takehara. Many rabbits live here, and vehicles are generally not allowed on the island.

This route links Tadanoumi, Okunoshima and Sakari (on Omishima). The 7:30, 17:35 and 19:10 departures from Tadanoumi do not stop at Okunoshima. The last departure from Okunoshima at 17:16 (the 17:00 sailing from Sakari) stops there only Feb–Oct, not Nov–Jan (the last departure in that period is 16:06). Bringing vehicles onto the island is generally prohibited and requires contacting Kyukamura Okunoshima (the island's resort hotel) in advance. The pier used by the passenger boat may change depending on crowding. Only the car ferry can carry cars. The ¥360 fare is based on Kyukamura's page, which states "Kyukamura passenger boat or Omishima Ferry: ¥360 one way."

The 17:00 sailing from Sakari stops at Okunoshima only Feb–Oct. The 7:00, 8:00 and 18:40 departures from Sakari do not stop at Okunoshima. The last return from Okunoshima to Sakari leaves at 16:39 (the 16:25 sailing from Tadanoumi). The weekend/holiday discount applies only to passenger cars going directly between Tadanoumi and Sakari, and you cannot get off at Okunoshima with it. Sakari Port is on Omishima (Ehime Prefecture).
