Times are from the timetable revised on Aug 1, 2026 (departures from Tadotsu at 6:45, 9:02, 13:57 and 16:15, calling at Takamijima). The timetable shows 53–56 minutes to Motoura and 58–66 minutes to Nagasaki. The 6:45 from Tadotsu skips Motoura and reaches Nagasaki at 7:43. Only two sailings leave Nagasaki Port (7:46 and 15:06); the last sailing from Motoura is 17:11. Adult one-way fares are ¥690 to Motoura and ¥790 to Nagasaki. Vehicles must be booked for every sailing. On Saturdays, only the 13:57 from Tadotsu connects at Motoura with the 14:50 sailing to Manabe (Motoura), which takes no vehicles. Since Oct 10, 2026 the replacement boat New Ohtori has run while Shin-Nagisa 2 is under engine maintenance: no cars or motorcycles, capacity 70 with islanders given priority, and bicycles may be refused when crowded. Maintenance is targeted to finish the week of Nov 24 (as of Oct 22). Crowding is expected Oct 31–Nov 3 and Nov 21–23, and some passengers may not be able to board. Service status is shown on the top page of the operator's site; inquiries to Tadotsu Kisen, 0877-32-2528. Tadotsu Kisen has no parking at Tadotsu Port; the town directs drivers to the lot behind the port office building.
