An island about 4 km around, almost in the middle of the Ariake Sea. It is also called Dangojima ("Conference Island") because both sides of the Shimabara–Amakusa Rebellion discussed their strategy here, and in recent years it has become known as a cat island.

Departures from Ebito: 8:15, 10:00, 13:15, 15:00, 17:30. From Yushima: 7:30, 9:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:00. Since Apr 1, 2024, the one-way fare for adults (junior high school age and up) is ¥800, cash only, collected on board. No reservations. Travel time is not given on the city's official page. Service may be suspended due to weather; there is no service status page, so call the operator (Showa Maru 0964-56-4060 / Kikumori Maru 090-3199-4752; the boat in charge switches between odd and even days).
